Serves: 2 Cups
- 2 Cups walnuts, shelled and coarsely chopped
- 2 Tablespoons salad oil (canola preferred)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- salt, to taste
- Put the walnuts into your food processor and run until pecans become a paste, and form a ball. Stop, add oil and pulse until the ball becomes a smooth paste. Stop, add sugar and a little salt and pulse. Taste and add more salt if necessary.
A wonderful spread for breads and rolls, or a filling for pastries or candies.
