Vanilla-Flavored Confectioner's Sugar

Serves: 2 Cups
Ingredients
  • 1 vanilla bean; split lengthwise
  • 2 Cups confectioners' sugar
Instructions
  1. Place vanilla bean in a tall glass jar and add sugar. Cover and let stand at least 24 hours.
Notes
NOTES: Vanilla bean will infuse sugar up to several months.

After a week or so, you may remove the vanilla bean and re-use it for some other sweet purpose, such as making vanilla extract or a vanilla custard. It is still full of rich vanilla flavor.

Yield: 2 cups.
