Tomato Juice Cocktail

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 Cups fresh tomatoes
  • 3 Cups chopped celery
  • 3/4 Cup chopped green pepper
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3 Tablespoons chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons horseradish
  • 3 dashes Tabasco sauce
Instructions
  1. In a pot, slowly cook tomatoes, celery, green pepper, bay leaf, and onion for 20 minutes. Put through a sieve. Add salt, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, and horseradish. Chill for 3 hours.
Notes
Yields: 8 to 9 cups.

Store in sterilized glass jars in the refrigerator.

Serve with lemon wedges in chilled glasses.
