Texas Barbecue Baste is a mop, or basting sauce, perfect for authentic Texas barbecue, with just the right amount of sweetness and spice to entice any palate.

Ingredients
- 2 Cups beef stock
- 1 1/2 teaspoons powdered mustard
- 1/3 Cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Tabasco
- black pepper
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 3/4 Cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/3 Cup oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- crushed red pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together very well. It should form a mixture with the consistency of cream.
- Baste meat every 20 minutes. Make more if necessary.
- Keep in a bowl or saucepan off the heat. Cooking it will intensify the flavors, but also reduce the volume and is unnecessary.
Notes
Great on anything pork, even bacon!
