Sweet French Toast is a simple, easy to make preparation perfect for breakfast, brunch or even a comforting dinner for two.  A wonderful treat.
Sweet French Toast

Sweet French Toast

Serves: 2
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 Cup evaporated milk
  • 4 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 Tablespoons Sugar and Cinnamon Mix
  • 6 slices white sandwich or raisin cinnamon raisin bread
Sugar and Cinnamon Mix
  • 6 Tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, add egg yolks, evaporated milk, vanilla and Sugar and Cinnamon Mix.
  2. Whisk until blended thoroughly. In a smaller bowl, whip egg whites until thick and frothy.
  3. Fold into egg/milk mixture.
  4. Dredge each slice of bread into batter. In medium skillet melt butter and cook each slice of bread until golden brown.
  5. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired or serve with preserves or warm syrup.
