Swedish Cabbage Rolls

  • Cabbage Rolls:
  • 6 large cabbage leaves
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 Cup milk
  • 1/4 Cup onion, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 Cup rice, cooked
  • [/b]Sauce:[/b]
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  1. CABBAGE ROLLS: Boil cabbage leaves until limp. Combine egg, milk, onion, salt, pepper, beef and cooked rice. Divide into 6 portions. Place each portion into a cabbage leaf, fold in sides and roll over. Place in slow cooker pot.
  2. SAUCE: Combine tomato sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over cabbage rolls in slow cooker pot. Cover and cook on low 7 to 9 hours.
