An extraordinary sauce, well suited to desserts. Glorious over ice cream or custards.

Strawberry Sauce
Recipe type: Dessert Sauces
Serves: 2 Cups
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Grand Marnier (or liqueur of your choice)
  1. Remove the hulls from the strawberries. Combine the strawberries, sugar, and Grand Marnier in a food processor until smooth. If desired, push through a sieve to remove the seeds. Transfer to a covered container and store in refrigerator until ready to use.
Comments: This strawberry sauce can also be used as a dessert sauce over ice cream, or you can mix it with fresh fruit or serve it pooled under a slice of cake on a plate.
