Red Barbecue Sauce

  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 Cup minced onion
  • 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 Cup sour mash Bourbon
  • 1/2 Cup ketchup
  • 1/2 Cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 Cup Balsamic vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 Tablespoons diced canned chipotle peppers
  • 1 Tablespoon Adobo sauce (from peppers)
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  1. Saute onion and garlic until golden in butter. Then add bourbon and reduce by half. Cook for 30 minutes at medium-low heat.
