Pixies (Chocolate Cookies)
Recipe type: Cookies
  • 2 Cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 Cup milk
  • 1/2 Cup shortening (ex. Crisco)
  • 1 2/3 Cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 6 Tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 Tablespoons shortening melted
  1. Mix cocoa with 2 Tablespoons melted shortening to make chocolate mixture.
  2. Cream shortening, sugar and eggs well. Add vanilla and chocolate mixture. Sift dry ingredients and add to the dough alternately with milk. Chill dough well. Form into 1 inch balls and roll in sifted powdered sugar. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 10 - 13 minutes.
