An exceptional spread, the rich buttery flavor of pecans comes out wonderfully. Kids love this.

Pecan Butter
Recipe type: Spreads
Serves: 2 Cups
  • 2 Cups pecans, shelled
  • 2 Tablespoons light salad oil (canola preferred)
  • salt, to taste
  1. Put the pecans into your food processor and run until pecans become a paste, and form a ball. Stop, add oil and pulse until the ball becomes a smooth paste. Stop, add a little salt and pulse. Taste and add more salt if necessary.

Use this in place of peanut butter for pastries, cookies or candies.
