Rich and sweet, these Japanese doughnuts are served three or four on a wooden skewer, covered in sugar or thick sugar syrup. Simply delicious with a cup of tea, dark coffee or espresso.

Okinawa Dango (Doughnuts)

Serves: 12
  • 3 Cups flour
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 3 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 Cup milk
  1. Mix dry ingredients together. Beat eggs slightly and add milk. Combine dry and liquid ingredients. Mix until blended. Shape into small balls and deep fry. Roll in sugar.
