Nestle's Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies

Serves: 60 cookies
  • 4 1/2 Cups flour (all purpose)
  • 1 1/2 Cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/2 Cups brown sugar (firmly packed)
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 Cup butter (2 sticks softened)
  • 1 Cup shortening
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 package Nestle chocolate chips, 12 ounces
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In small bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt. In large bowl combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips, semi-sweet. Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 to 14 min. Makes about 5 dozen 2 1/4 inch cookies.
