Korean Kimchi Beef Rolls

Ingredients
  • 6 ounces topside or roundsteak, thinly sliced and slivered
  • 4 Tablespoons prepared red kimchi sauce
  • 6 leaves Chinese cabbage
  • 10 ounces short-grain Japanese sushi rice, cooked
  • 10 chives
  • 4 Tablespoons white sesame seeds
Instructions
  1. Grill steak over high heat until heated through. Add kimchi sauce; cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat; reserve.
  2. Cover sushi mat or piece of letter-sized paper with plastic wrap; lay cabbage leaves horizontally over plastic. Using wet fingers to prevent sticking, spread 1 ounce rice over each cabbage leaf. Divide beef among leaves; place a chive in center of each.
  3. Use sushi mat or paper to tightly roll leaves together in a single movement (the rice will help the rolls stick together).
  4. Transfer rolls to cutting board; slice each into 3 pieces. Garnish with sesame seeds.
