Jamaican Jerked Shrimp

Serves: 4
  • 1 dozen large shrimp; peeled, deveined
  • Jerk Seasoning:
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoons dried sage
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne
  • 3/4 teaspoons ground allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons canola oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 large garlic clove; minced
  1. Combine the Jerk Seasoning in a large bowl. (Makes about 2 cups)
  2. Toss the shrimp in the bowl to coat well. Then grill. Serve hot.
