A wonderful dressing for salads, superb as a spread on sandwiches and suprisingly a nice dip for chips and veggies, this superb creation has been a hit since it was first made.

French Dressing
Recipe type: Dressings
Serves: 1 3/4 Cups
  • 1/4 Cup sugar
  • 1/4 Cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 Tablespoons vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 garlic clove; crushed
  • 1 Cup oil
  1. Combine sugar, ketchup, salt, vinegar, Worcestershire, garlic and oil. Stir vigorously or shake in lidded container to mix.
This recipe yields 1 3/4 Cups.

Each tablespoon: 78 calories; 117 mg sodium; 0 cholesterol; 8 grams fat; 2 grams carbohydrates; 0 protein; 0 fiber.
