  • 3 Tablespoons oil
  • 4 coils of fideo (coiled vermicelli)
  • 2 Tablespoons minced onion
  • 1 clove garlic; minced
  • 1/2 Cup canned tomato sauce
  • 3 Cups water
  • salt; pepper
  1. Heat oil, add fideo and cook until lightly browned. Add onion and cook until tender. Add garlic, tomato sauce and water and season to taste with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Lower heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Thats the plain version... add ground beef, fry it on the side... then add the cooked, drained beef when you add the garlic etc.
A very unusual but very delicious pasta dish. My Mexican grandfather used to make it and I make it in memory of him. For you, Pepe! Hope you all like it too! Goce! (Enjoy!)
