Fried Broad Beans

  • 2 Cups shelled beans (broad beans or lima beans)
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 Tablespoons water
  • 3 Tablespoons olive oil
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  1. Heat olive oil with 2 tablespoons water. Fry beans until tender. They will quickly absorb water and should be done in 10 to 15 minutes. Before serving, mix in 2 tablespoons butter and season to taste with salt and pepper.
