White Chocolate Fondue

  • 1 Cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 stick unsalted butter
  • 24 ounces premier quality white chocolate, cut in small pieces or shaved from a large block
  • A tray of dippers. See Notes.
  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine cream and butter.
  2. Bring mixture to a simmer, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove pan from heat.
  4. Add white chocolate.
  5. Stir until melted and smooth.
  6. Cool slightly.
  7. Transfer to a fondue pot, chafing dish, or ceramic bowl.
  8. Serve with apples, bananas, strawberries, cookies, pretzels, and pound cake.
Can be made for a chocolate fountain.
<b>Fresh fruits</b> - bananas, strawberries, grapes, tangerines, pears, apples, raspberries.

Fresh fruit should be ripe but still firm enough to not dissolve while dipping.

<b>Dried fruit</b> - apricots, dates, figs, mango, pear, apple.

<b>Cakes or cookies</b> - Bite sized pieces of angel food cake, pound cake, lady fingers or crisp biscotti.

<b>Nut Breads</b> - Nut breads can be served toasted or fresh.

Cut into bite sized pieces. Try date nut bread, cinnamon bread, persimmon pumpkin or zucchini breads.

<b>Other Baked Goods</b> - try soft pretzels, hard pretzels, pretzel twists, tortilla chips, Pringle's potato chips, cookies, mini-donuts, and even bagel chips.
