Strawberries Cardinal

Ingredients
  • 1 package strawberry flavored gelatin
  • 1/2 Cup boiling water
  • 2 pints strawberries, washed
  • 1 package (10 ounces) frozen raspberries, thawed
  • 2 Tablespoons raspberry-flavor liqueur
Instructions
  1. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water in a saucepan over low heat; stirring constantly. Chill until slightly thickened, about 20 minutes.
  2. Dip strawberries in gelatin to coat, while holding stem.
  3. Place on waxed paper-lined baking sheet; chill until gelatin is firm.
  4. Place raspberries and liqueur in a blender or food processor; puree.
  5. Spoon about 1/4 cup sauce on 6 dessert plates. Top with strawberries.
Notes
Try to find locally grown strawberries for flavor that will shock you. Vastly superior to anything you will get in the supermarket.
