Swedish Fruit in Liqueur

  • 1 pint blueberries
  • 1 pint raspberries
  • 1 pint strawberries
  • 1 pint red currants
  • 1 Cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 Cup Brandy
  • 2/3 Cup light rum
  • unsweetened whipped cream; for garnish
  1. Remove stems and hulls from berries. Rinse, drain, and place in glass serving bowl. Add sugar, brandy, and rum, stirring with a wooden spoon. Taste and add more sugar, if needed. Marinate overnight in refrigerator.
  2. Serve with whipped cream and a generous amount of sauce.
  3. Serves 6 to 8.
