As dipping sauces go, this classic Korean version is gloriously flavorful.

Dipping Sauce (Yangnyom Kanjang)
Recipe type: Appetizers
Serves: 1/3 Cup
  • 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds; crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon Korean red pepper powder (available at Korean markets)
  • 1 garlic clove; minced
  • 2 green onions; chopped
  1. Combine the soy sauce, sesame seeds, pepper, garlic and onions in a bowl.
This recipe yields about 1/3 Cup.

Each teaspoon: 3 calories; 126 mg sodium; 0 cholesterol; 0 fat; 0 saturated fat; 0 carbohydrates; 0 protein; 0.06 gram fiber.
