This amazing recipe produces exceptional flavor. You would never notice that a sugar substitute is used.

Crispy Winter Relish
Recipe type: Diabetic
Serves: 2 Cups
  • 1 Cup finely chopped apples
  • 1 Cup finely shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 Cup finely diced celery
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped green pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped pimiento
  • 3 Tablespoons vinegar
  • 4 teaspoons liquid sucaryl (or 1 1/3 Cups Splenda Granular
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 dash cayenne
  1. Combine apples and vegetables. Combine vinegar, sucaryl, salt, and spices blending well. Pour over apples and vegetables, tossing lightly. Refrigerate at least 1 hour.
Per 1/4 Cup serving: 17 cal protein 0.5g fat trace carbohydrates 5g (with sugar) 53 cal
