Corn Mush (Natural)

Serves: 8
  • 1 1/2 Cups stone-ground cornmeal
  • 1/2 Cup soy flour
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sage
  • 7 Cups cold water
  1. Mix meal, flour and sage. Stir in the water and salt slowly. Bring to simmer.
  2. Cover and cook about 45 minutes. Include a few chopped jalapeno peppers and tamari if you like.
There are few Native American recipes that could be readily enjoyed in our modern world. Native American cooking was a slow, time consuming process because everything was made by hand from raw ingredients. This recipe is a rare exception and when you try this delicious recipe, you'll love it. A very healthy recipe for all.
