California Pot Roast
Recipe type: Beef
Serves: 20
  • 4 pounds beef rump
  • 2 Tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/16 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon oil
  • 1 onion; chopped fine;
  • 2 carrots; sliced
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Cup water
  • sugar substitute equivalent to 1/2 Cup sugar
  1. Dredge meat well in flour, salt, and pepper.
  2. Brown in oil in skillet; add remaining ingredients. Cover. Simmer about 4 hours over low heat.
