This sweet dessert sauce is richly flavored by brandy. Perfect on pies, cakes or puddings, or even over ice cream.

Brandy Sauce

Serves: 4
  • 1 Cup water
  • 2 Tablespoons corn starch
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 Cup Brandy
  • 1 teaspoon real vanilla
  1. Mix dry ingredients and then stir them into a cup of boiling water.
  2. Boil for 5 minutes and then add butter, brandy, and vanilla.
  3. Serve hot over mince pie or gingerbread.
