Apricot Basting Sauce

Apricot Basting Sauce
Recipe type: Sauces
Serves: 1 Cup
  • 1/2 Cup apricot jam
  • 1/4 Cup apricots; dried, finely chopped
  • 1/4 Cup dry white wine
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  1. Heat all ingredients over low heat, stirring occasionally, until jam is melted.
  2. Makes about 1 cup of sauce.
Use this sauce for glazing poultry. Add 2 Tablespoons Irish Whiskey for a unique variation.

Holds up equally well used on grilled poultry or roasted.
