Serves: 8 ounces
Ingredients
  • 100 g (4 ounces) butter, softened
  • 100 g (4 ounce) ground almonds
  • about 30 ml (2 Tablespoons) caster sugar
  • 2.5 - 5 ml (1/2 - 1 teaspoon) lemon juice
  • few drops of almond essence
Instructions
  1. 1. Put the butter in a mixing bowl and work in the ground almonds thoroughly.
  2. Add the sugar, lemon juice and almond essence gradually.
  3. Use at once or pot and chill.

Makes about 225 g (8 oz)
