Jones Soda Co. of Seattle, Washington, a producer of some wacky flavored fizzy-waters has topped the charts with wild and wierd flavors.
Introducing specialty soda packs for the holidays, Jones has a Christmas pack with four bottles: Sugar Plum; Christmas Tree; Egg Nog and Christmas Ham. Would you drink a tree or a ham? They also have a pack for Chanukah, with Jelly Doughnut; Apple Sauce; Chocolate Coins and Latkes (Potato Pancakes) sodas.
All the sodas are kosher, including the Ham flavor, though we can’t imagine there being much of a market for kosher ham soda. The sodas are also zero caffeine, Jones stated in an announcement.
Last year, in another quirky move, Jones produced Green Pea, Sweet Potato, Dinner Roll, Turkey and Gravy, and Antacid sodas in time for Thanksgiving.
Being the contract supplier of sodas for Qwest Stadium, they developed and market Perspiration, Dirt, Sports Cream and Natural Field Turf which they offer to the fans of the Seattle Seahawks. Yummy, just what you want during a game, a cold glass of Perspiration.
Fortunately, Jones also makes some traditional flavors which are actually very good. Their Root Beer, Cherry and Strawberry flavors are like all their others, very true to the real flavor. We’re not sure if that’s a good thing when it comes to sports cream and christmas trees, though.
Qwirky as they are, at least they’re produced in the US. The majority of apple ciders we’ll consume this holiday season are produced in China. We’re keeping an eye out for sudden recalls, and drinking Martinelli products, made in America.
Jones’ wild soda flavors go on sale Sunday.
