The whiskey sour is a mixed drink containing blended whiskey, lemon juice and sugar. It is shaken and served either straight (classic) or over ice (modern).

Whiskey Sours

The traditional garnish is half an orange or lemon slice and a maraschino cherry.

Whiskey Sour
The classic is so much better than anything made with a mix, so we urge you to skip anything calling itself "sour mix" and go with the real deal. You won't regret it.
