Rosh Hashanah means the head of the year, or New Year’s – a time for celebration. The Rosh Hashana is a glorious drink that embodies the season’s flavors and spirit. Shana Tova!
- 1 1/2 fluid ounces Bourbon
- 1 ounce honey liqueur
- apple cider (unfiltered, unpasteurized), to top off
- Pour the bourbon and liqueur into a lowball glass over ice and top off with the apple cider. Give it a stir.
There are several good honey liqueurs on the market. Pick any you prefer.
The freshest cider you can get is always best, as it will contain no added sugars. Its tangy nature offsets the sweetness of honey liqueur and pairs perfectly with Bourbon.
