Cherry liqueurs are among the easiest liqueurs to make at home, and it is also easy to obtain a flavor which is comparable with commercial cherry liqueurs. Homemade cherry liqueurs may be served with ice, and may also be used for making cocktails and desserts, such as Cherries Jubilee.
- 2 slices lemon
- 1 bottle V.O. Brandy
- 1 pint Bing cherries, rinsed just before use, pitted
- 2 Tablespoons sugar, granulated
- Fill each jar half full with cherries. Add to each one slice lemon and one tablespoon sugar. Then fill to the top with V.O.
- Put the lid on tight, shake and put in cool place for 6 months.
