- 3 to 4 ounces chopped pistachio nuts, shelled, unsalted
- small pinch cinnamon
- small pinch cloves
- 12 raisins or sultanas (optional)
- 1 1/2 Cups vodka
- 1/2 Cup Sugar Syrup (recipe follows)
- 1 Cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 Cup water, hot
- Steep the raisins, nuts and spices in vodka for 2 weeks in a sterilized bottle kept in a dark place. Shake occasionally. Strain and filter. Add sugar syrup. Matures in 2 to 3 weeks.
