Hoots Mon means “Hey, man!” in the Scottish dialect, but it also means a deliciously wonderful cocktail made with Scotch whisky, Benedictine and vermouth. Try one and you’ll understand why that’s the name it was given.
- 3/4 fluid ounce vermouth
- 1 teaspoon Benedictine
- 1 lemon
- 1 1/2 fluid ounces Scotch whiskey
- Stir scotch, vermouth, and benedictine with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.
- Add twist of lemon peel and serve.
