Fresh blueberries come to market year round, but the most flavorful start to appear in early June through mid-July. These make a superb liqueur that may be used in cocktails, food recipes (makes a great addition to fresh blueberry pie) and consumed as-is. Simple and wonderful.

Homemade Blueberry Liqueur
Recipe type: Liqueurs
Serves: 5 Cups
  • 1 Cup of fresh blueberries
  • 1 Cup of good brandy
  • 2 Cups of vodka
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1/2 Cup boiling water
  1. Add berries and alcohol to jar, steep for a little over a month.
  2. Boil sugar and water together.
  3. Strain and filter and add syrup, and age another month and more.
