An easy to make punch for parties for the children or adults, Ghoul-Ade for Halloween is a fright delight. The hand floating adds a scary, ghoulish effect that make it such fun.

You can make this alcoholic, by replacing 1 Quart of water with 4/5 Quart vodka. If using alcohol, replace ginger-ale with soda-water (selzer) or lemon-lime soda.

Serves: 1 pitcher
  • 1 envelope Kool-Aid grape flavor unsweetened mix
  • 1 envelope Kool-Aid orange flavor unsweetened mix
  • 2 Cups sugar
  • 3 Quarts cold water
  • 1 bottle (1 litre) ginger ale; chilled
Ice hand
  • 1 rubber glove (fully rinsed and clear of any powder)
  • water
  • a few drops of grenadine syrup
  1. With help from a family member, fill a rubber glove with water. Twist the top shut and place in the freezer for 6 hours. When frozen solid, using a sharp, small knife, cut the rubber glove off the ice hand, making sure no rubber is left on or in the ice.
  2. Using a straw, add a few drops of grenadine syrup to the outside of the hand. Keep frozen till ready for use.
  3. Mix Kool Aid's together with sugar, in large punch bowl.
  4. Add water and mix.
  5. Just before serving, add ginger ale and place the hand in the bowl.
