Bobby Flay’s delicious Frozen Mango Margarita is a real treat on a hot evening. Full of tropical flavors, it refreshes the palate while cooling the body. Outstandingly good.

Frozen Mango Margarita

Serves: 4
  • 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 1/2 Cup water
  • 1 piece fresh ginger (1-inch long); sliced
  • 2 medium mangoes; peeled, pitted
  • 1/2 Cup Vodka
  • 2 Cups ice cubes
  1. Combine the sugar, water and ginger in heavy small saucepan.
  2. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  3. Simmer 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Cover and let steep 1 hour.
  6. Strain.
  7. Puree mangoes in a blender.
  8. Pour into measuring cup.
  9. Return 3/4 cup puree to blender.
  10. Add 1/2 cup ginger syrup, vodka and ice cubes to blender.
  11. Blend until smooth.
  12. Serve in martini glasses.
