Almond Liqueur II

This is one of the simplest almond liqueur recipes, it provides a good opportunity to experiment with liqueur-making for novices, yielding very good results.
  • 3 Cups sugar
  • 2 1/4 Cups water
  • 1 quart vodka, 100 proof
  • 3 Tablespoons almond extract
  • 2 Tablespoons vanilla extract
  1. Combine first two (2) ingredients in an enameled Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally; cool completely.
  2. Stir in remaining ingredients; store in airtight containers.
