A delectable blend of orange and lemon flavors, tempered by vermouth, this cocktail has an astounding flavor worth of a noble title.
  • 2 ounces Penderyn
  • 1/2 ounce Triple Sec
  • 3/4 ounce Italian sweet vermouth
  • lemon twist (optional)
  1. Stir ingredients with ice and strain into a coupe glass or champagne saucer.
  2. Garnish with the lemon twist if you desire.
Because this is a very unfussy cocktail with just a few ingredients, I decided to use Penderyn and it tasted great. If it’s not in your budget or available near you, a blended Scotch like Famous Grouse is a good standby. For the vermouth, I recommend upgrading from Martini and Rossi if you can. This is a cocktail where specificity and quality pay dividends. Carpano Antica is unbeatable in this drink.
