Spiced Tea

Ingredients
  • 4 Cups water
  • 2 Tablespoons honey
  • 4 slices pared fresh ginger
  • 2 strips fresh lemon rind
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 whole allspice berries
  • 2 non-herbal tea bags
Instructions
  1. Combine water, honey, ginger, lemon ring, cinnamon, and allspice in medium-size nonaluminum saucepan.
  2. Bring to a simmer; cover and simmer 20 minutes.
  3. Add tea bags.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Steep 3 minutes.
  6. Strain into cups and serve hot.
