Spiced Hot Grape Punch

Ingredients
  • 6 Cups bottled purple grape juice
  • 2 Cups apple juice
  • 1/4 Cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 Tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 3 slices pared fresh ginger
  • 4 cardamom pods, crushed
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
Instructions
  1. Combine grape juice, apple juice, lemon juice, brown sugar, ginger, cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon stick in large nonaluminum saucepan.
  2. Bring just to simmering.
  3. Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes.
  4. Strain to remove spices.
  5. Serve hot in mugs.
