Citrus Berry Slush

Serves: 4
  • 1 pints fresh strawberries
  • 2 Cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1 ea grated peel of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 Cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 Cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 1 Cup crushed ice
  • lemon peel for garnish
  1. Reserve 4 strawberries for garnish.
  2. Hull, slice and puree remaining berries in blender to yield 1 cup.
  3. In the blender, combine 1 cup strawberry puree and remaining ingredients except lemon and strawberry garnish.
  4. Blend until smooth.
  5. Makes 4 cups.
  6. Garnish with lemon peel and whole strawberry.
  7. Use a sharp knife or zester to cut a 10" strip of lemon peel for garnish.
