Christmas Champagne Punch is great treat for holiday parties. Both flavorful and visually appealing, it brings a bright eye to all your holiday revelers. Simply wonderful. Make plenty!

Christmas Champagne Punch

Serves: 8 to 10
  • 2 Cups water
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 6 cinnamon sticks
  • 8 whole cloves
  • 4 Cups cranberry juice (Simply brand is best)
  • 1 Cup pineapple juice
  • 2 bottles champagne (domestic Brut or sparkling white wine works great)
  • small amount of Cointreau (or any orange liqueur you prefer)
  • red sugar crystals
  • green sugar crystals
  1. In a saucepan, bring water, granulated sugar, cinnamon sticks and cloves to boil.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Discard cinnamon and cloves.
  4. Cool to room temperature and strain into a large pitcher.
  5. Add cranberry juice and pineapple juice and stir well.
  6. Chill in fridge until ready to serve.
  7. Dip the tops champagne flutes in a saucer with Cointreau. Then dip into a dish of either red or green sugar crystals. Allow each to dry thoroughly, about 15 minutes in a warm place.
  8. At serving time, add chilled champagne to the juice blend.
  9. Gently pour into champagne flutes, taking care not to disturb the sugar crust on the edge of each glass.
