Making almond syrup is actually quite simple, and the product is useful in a variety of drinks.

Serves: 1 bottle
- 1 Cup sugar (brown, white, or half and half)
- 1/2 Cup water
- almond extract
- In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water and bring to a rolling boil. Stir to prevent scorching.
- Remove from heat. Cool slightly to below 140 degrees F and stir in extract to desired strength, starting with 1/2 teaspoon.
- Store in a closed container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
