This edition of Almond Liqueur has a mild hint of vanilla, making it very useful in sweet cocktails, in cakes or desserts that call for almond liqueur and particularly over ice cream. Yummy!
The simple preparation allows you to make it in quick time, making this perfect for gifts.
- 3 Cups sugar
- 2 1/4 Cups water
- 1 quart vodka, 100 proof
- 3 Tablespoons almond extract
- 2 Tablespoons vanilla extract
- Combine first two (2) ingredients in an enameled Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally; cool completely.
- Stir in remaining ingredients; store in airtight containers.
