The Algonquin, named for the famed New York City hotel, and its famous Round Table and the Vicious Circle, is the pinnacle of sophisticated urbane flavor. A gift from the era of Dorothy Parker and Robert Benchley, it is one of the great cocktails of the 1930’s and 40’s.
- 1 1/2 ounces Hudson Manhattan Rye
- 1 ounce dry vermouth
- 3/4 ounce unsweetened pineapple juice
- Combine and shake all ingredients with ice, strain contents into a cocktail glass, and serve.
