A very upper crust name adds class and an aristocratic air to this delightful, sweet drink. Cool and refreshing, but far from savory. Almost like a dessert.  The kind of drink one should sip relaxing on the verandah of your Virginia plantation or in the garden of your Surrey manor house.

Albemarle Fizz
A sweet combination of flavors that's most intoxicating.
Recipe type: Alcoholic Cocktails
Serves: 1
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 fluid ounces gin
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon raspberry syrup
  • carbonated water, seltzer or club soda
  1. Shake all ingredients (except carbonated water) with ice and strain into a highball glass over two ice cubes.
  2. Fill with carbonated water, stir, and serve.
