Absinthe Wine
Fortified wine is an uncommon base for an herbal liqueur, but it does pair well with added herbs and spices. This rather bitter, potent fortified wine is best served in very small amounts.

Serves: 1 bottle
All these herbs are dried:
  • 2 teaspoons peppermint
  • 2 teaspoons dried wormwood
  • 2 teaspoons thyme
  • 2 teaspoons lavender
  • 2 teaspoons hyssop
  • 2 teaspoons marjoram
  • 2 teaspoons sage
  • 2 pints port
  1. Steep herbs one week, filter and bottle.
  2. Our tasting notes describe this as 'bitter, aromatic and potent'.
