In Britain, cigar humidification was only introduced about 25 years ago. Traditionally the British preferred unhumidified cigars, fully aged and matured and left to dry out in controlled conditions while the reverse was true in continental Europe and elsewhere. British tastes have since changed and all cigars now sold by Harrods are kept humidified.
