Hopeless Romantic is the fifth studio album by Jon B. Brought up in Rhode Island, Buck was born to a musical family, with his father David a professor of music, his mother Linda, a concert pianist and his siblings Deborah, a violinist and his brother Kevin, a cellist. He first started singing at the age of four, and learned piano and keyboard by nine. By 16, he played bass and drums as well. Because his grandparents owned a record store, Buck was raised on a varied musical diet that included influences like Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder.

Summary: My Boy Has Done It Again!!!!!
Comment: I just happened across his album, and I am not too thrilled about the lack of promotion for him AGAIN!!!!!
But I have been a fan since 1995's Bonafide, and love him, love him, love him!! I have always felt that he is one of the talented artist that doesn't get the recognition he deserves. I have been searching for something new to bend my ear too and I jumped out of my shair when I saw he had a new cd out!!!!
I have listed to the snippets on here and I am in love getting ready to buy and put straight on the Ipod touch I got for Christmas.
Jon, if you are reading this you have done it again!!!

Summary: Classic!
Comment: Jon B's latest release is a blessing. The album's title track is amazing. Throughout the album the lyrics and production work to create a laid back smooth jazz feel. All Jon B fans should love this release. Radio stations across the nation should embrace this album. It frustrates me at times when you think about the music that is played on radio stations. Jon B's work is amazing. Please support the man.

Comment: I have loved Jon B for years & this latest effort did not disappoint!! I absolutely LOVE every track on this CD, however, I can't figure out why this CD is not getting any radio play?? I guess everyone's on the Robin Thicke bandwagon. Sorry to say but Robin Thicke can't hold a candle to Jon B! My favorite tracks on the CD are:
1. Ooh So Sexy
5. Helpless Romantic
6. Paradise In U
7. Drops of Rain
12. Won't You Say Yeah
For those who want to experience REAL blue-eyed soul, go out & cop this CD! You won't be disappointed!!

Summary: I love Jon B
Comment: I think Jon B is a talent that should've been further along than other artists. He has a true gift. I have always loved his music. I wish he stretched a little with this album. I first heard it and sounded the same. The next time I listened to it, I realized I could play it from beginning to end around the house when I'm relaxing.

Comment: i put the cd in today and i listened to the cd twice and i loved every song. the cd is so good one of his best. i just hate that he does't get much airplay or exposure.truly underrated and underexposed. jon b should be up there with the avant and joe better than robin thicke to me
