Comment: I purchased this package deal for my 21 year old son. He really enjoys it. It is a good deal, it comes with a memory card, game and other features. It is a good item for a wide range of people. My 10 yr old has had one for 4 years now and he really likes it. The are also nice for trips or entertainment for when the power goes out! Just keep it charged and you can watch hours of movies on it too, during power outages. I recommend this product for all ages!

Comment: This system is great. Not only is the screen brighter and sharper than the 2000, but they kept much of the same basic size and shape so that the slim and lite gear will still work for the great most part on the slim and brite.
There's been a big panic spread about the scan lines on the 3000 system due to the upgraded screen. Jagged lines do appear during swift action on the screen, but interlacing 'problems' aren't much of a problem. The scanlines do appear during movement, but are less noticable and aggravating when compared the the massive ghosting issues of previous PSP incarnations, in my opinion. The worst of the interlacing happens so fast that I hardly process it, which is why circulated still frames of interlacing issues make the problem seem much more horrible..
This version of the system tries a new gimmick - an unglossy finish that won't pick up your fingerprints all the time. Do not mistake the plastic for cheap simply because it's unglossy - The mystic silver system is as sturdy as any of the glossy variety, and won't pick up your fingerprints all the time. If you do enjoy the glossy look and don't mind taking the extra care to avoid fingerprints smearing your machine, the black PSP slim and brite (3000) system, sold in an identical bundle is also available. I prefer both the silver look and the no-fingerprints finish of my nice mystic silver PSP.

Summary: When you're a mom, it's good to GET IT RIGHT!
Comment: I bought this system for my 17-yr-old, on-the-go, almost college bound, gaming enthusiast. He hadn't asked for it, but I wanted to buy him something that was portable (could go to college with him) and was purported to have the good graphics he seems to enjoy. WELL, he loves it! He is playing it all of the time. He loves the fact that it has so many of the game sequels that he has historically enjoyed (Final Fantasy, Grand Theft Auto, God of War, etc.) I also went a little crazy buying the acessories when they were priced between 2.95 and 6.95, so he has everything to go with this PSP.
I don't always get it right as a mom, but this time I hit the lottery! Great purchase all around.

Comment: This new PSP is the best. It is fun to call people with the built in mike. It's screen dosen't show lines that are visible by my son, a 14 year old. Anyways, this new PSP is a major upgrade from my sons old 1000 series PSP. It ways much less, and is thinner, and eaiser to hold. Overall, a great product with the most beautiful silver shine. Buy one, my son calls it "DA BOMB". He also loves the games and movie it came with. The memorystick it comes with saves you $20 to.

Summary: My son loves this-- and I do too!
Comment: My son absolutely loves hand held gaming. He was hooked with the purchase of his very first gameboy. Eventually, we upgraded to the nintendo ds lite which was a huge hit with him-- for about 6 months. Soon after we got the ds lite, he regretted his choice and wanted a PSP. He felt that the available ds game titles were limited, the wifi range, restrictive, and the video graphics... just not good enough. Knowing that the 3000 was going to be released this fall, I waited and got him the PSP 3000 Ratchet and Clank pack for him for Christmas. While we don't have any experience with the difference between the 2000 and the 3000, I can say that he absolutely loves it. It came with 1 game, 1 movie, a memory card, and the charger. The video on this thing is amazing (digital tv quality). He enjoys it immensely and I've even got to have a bit of fun with it too!
I'm sure with the long list of available game titles and movies, the PSP 3000 will continue to be one of his favorite gaming systems for a long long time.
